How much does it cost?

We believe in simple, transparent pricing. We operate a 3-tiered annual fee so you can pick the perfect plan for you. Don’t worry if you’re not sure - you can always upgrade or downgrade later or speak to us to discuss the option of a custom made plan to fit your needs. This is all you ever pay - no set-up or hidden fees.

Can I try for free?

Yes, sign up for free, no commitment or payment details required and we’ll give you 5 free tests so that you can test the platform in full. You can cancel any time in the trial and you won’t be charged a thing.

Can I add more tests?

Yes! We are very flexible when it comes to our product and if you would rather start small and then add tests as and when you need them, you can do so.

Do my tests expire?

Our packages run on an annual basis, so you have an entire 12 months to use up your tests. Should you reach your 12 months and have tests remaining, let us know and we can roll them over for you. Simple!

How difficult are the tests?

We offer foundation and advanced level tests so there are tests for all abilities. The difficulty can be set for each role you are recruiting for so you’re sending suitable tests for all your candidates.

What is the difference between foundation and standard level tests?

Foundation is aimed at school leavers and typically used for vocational jobs. Standard is aimed at higher levels of education (typically graduates) and used for senior management jobs etc. If you're hiring for roles which fit someone in between, we recommend picking either level, but being consistent. As long as everyone for the same job is taking the same level of test, then direct comparison is possible.

How do I send tests to candidates?

We’ve designed a simple, user friendly personalised dashboard so you can send tests quickly and easily yourself. Simply add candidates and they will automatically be sent the tests you choose, along with email reminders to complete their tests.

How do candidates receive their tests?

Candidates will receive an email from Test Candidates, with clear instructions that they are to complete tests as part of your business’ recruitment process. The email will contain a link to their tests, with further instructions such as how long the tests will take, to ensure that they have strong internet connection and that they are unable to take the test again once they start etc. We also instruct them to get in touch with you should they be unsure as to why they have been asked to complete these tests.

We’re an innovative online service which has been specifically designed to provide a cost-effective solution. We understand your main objective is to compare candidates that are applying for your role and we’ve developed an affordable solution to enable you to do this.

How do I access my account?

We've improved the level of security by moving to a 'passwordless' magic link system, used by companies such as Medium. The first time you login, you'll have to request a password from This will send you an email to your registered email address which will provide a link that keeps you logged in. You won't need to do this every time as we will remember you!

When can I see my candidates’ results?

Once your candidate completes their test, the results are sent back to your dashboard. All updates occur instantly so you can quickly view and compare their performance and you can opt in or out to be notified via email.

Do my candidates see how they did?

No, only you can see how your candidates performed via your dashboard. If you decide to share a candidate’s results with them, you can download a PDF version of their results to do so.

Can I see an example of the tests?

Can candidates cheat?

It is extremely rare. Anyone with sense can easily recognise the level of competency of another person through conversation, so ‘cheaters’ will fall short further down your recruitment process. The important thing to remember with psychometric tests is that they should not ever be used as a substitute for interview practices. Psychometric tests are a very useful filtration and assessment tool.
