What is a case study test?
A case study puts a small piece of realistic work in front of the candidate: a few emails, a table of figures, a chart. The questions ask them to find what matters, work out the numbers and choose a sensible next step.
Each case study gives candidates a short work pack of emails, tables and charts, then asks questions about it. You see how they read information, work through the figures and make sensible calls.

WHAT YOU GET
Candidates read a realistic pack, such as a supplier email, a budget table and a sales chart, then answer multiple-choice questions about it. Answers are scored as a percentage, so you can compare candidates side by side.
A case study shows how someone reasons through information on screen. It is not a full work trial, and it does not show how they write, present or work with your team.
Time allowances shown before any candidate adjustments.
TESTS IN MULTIPLE LANGUAGES

CHOOSING AND USING YOUR ASSESSMENT
What a case study adds, how it differs from an aptitude test, and how to use the score.
A case study puts a small piece of realistic work in front of the candidate: a few emails, a table of figures, a chart. The questions ask them to find what matters, work out the numbers and choose a sensible next step.
An aptitude test checks general reasoning with short, separate questions. A case study asks several questions about one piece of work, so candidates need to keep track of the detail and connect it. Many employers use both: aptitude for general reasoning, and a case study for the job itself.
Use the score to help you shortlist, then ask candidates to talk you through one of their answers at interview. How they explain their thinking often tells you as much as the score.

A short set of realistic material, such as emails, tables and charts, with a title for each part. Candidates can see the pack while they answer the questions.
Each case study has several packs, and each candidate gets one at random. This makes answers harder to share. The packs follow the same brief but are not identical, so look at the overall pattern of results rather than small differences.
Pick the one closest to the work. Finance suits accounts and finance roles, Operations suits supervisors and coordinators, Data Analysis suits analysts and reporting roles, Marketing suits marketing executives, and Customer Service suits support and complaints roles.
