These terms apply to a product ("you", the partner) that uses the Test Candidates API to offer our tests to its own users, and that we have confirmed as a partner by email. Test Candidates is run by Neuroworx Ltd, registered in England and Wales under company number 14612373 ("we"). Our standard terms and privacy policy apply to every workspace, including yours, and these partner terms sit on top of them. Where the two say different things, these partner terms win for partner matters. Last updated 19 October 2026.
1. Becoming a partner
- Anyone can create a free account and build against the sandbox. You become a partner when you email us, we confirm your partner status, and we record either the partner rate on your workspace or a partner code for your links.
- We may decline an application, and we may end a partnership with 30 days' notice by email. You may end it at any time by email. Workspaces, results and data stay available under the standard terms after a partnership ends.
2. The two routes
Route 1, the partner rate. Your workspace holds the API key and invites the candidates. We bill your workspace monthly in arrears for every candidate whose results were unlocked, at the partner rate shown on the partners page at the time of unlocking, plus tax where it applies. One charge per candidate per assessment, however many tests they sit. The first five candidates of a workspace are free. What you charge your own users is up to you.
Route 2, referral. You send users to Test Candidates with your partner link. Each user creates their own workspace and pays our public price. Because you introduced them, their first 25 results are free, with no card, instead of the standard five. We pay you 25% of the amounts those workspaces pay us, net of tax, refunds and chargebacks, for as long as they keep paying.
You may use both routes at once, for example route 1 inside your product and route 2 for users who prefer their own account.
3. How referral attribution works
- A workspace is attributed to you when the person who creates it arrived through a link carrying your partner code within the previous 30 days. The code is remembered in the visitor's browser for that time.
- The first introducer recorded wins, and a customer is introduced once: a workspace that already exists, or that was created without your code, is not attributed to you, and we cannot add attribution afterwards. The free-results welcome is given once, however many introducers a customer came through.
- You must not add your code to our name in paid search, to our own pages, or to links that a person did not choose to follow. We can withdraw attribution that was obtained this way.
4. Statements and payment
- We send a statement by email each calendar month that shows, for each attributed workspace, the number of results paid for and the commission due. Workspaces are shown by a reference, not by name, unless the user has agreed otherwise.
- Commission is paid in pounds sterling by bank transfer, within 45 days of the month end, once the amount due reaches £50. Smaller amounts carry over. Payments in other currencies are converted at our bank's rate on the day.
- Partner-rate invoices are issued by Stripe in your workspace's currency and charged to the card on file, like every other workspace.
- We may correct a statement for refunds or disputed payments in the three months after it was issued.
5. What you may say
- You may say that your product uses Test Candidates and show our name and logo in the way we provide them. You may not suggest that we endorse your product, or that our tests are yours.
- You must describe the tests accurately. Our pages say what each test measures and how long it takes; do not claim more.
- You must tell your users, before they sit a test, that the test is run by Test Candidates and link to our privacy policy, unless your product's own branding is on the workspace and your own privacy notice covers the processing.
6. Candidates and data
- On route 1, you are the controller of your candidates' data under your agreement with your own users, and we process it on your instructions as described in our security and data protection page. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to test each candidate and for telling them what happens to their results.
- On route 2, each workspace is its own customer under the standard terms. You have no access to those workspaces' candidates or results.
- Do not invite anyone who has not agreed to be tested, and do not test people who are not applicants for a role or a programme.
- You may use the sandbox for your own testing only. Test candidates are limited to 25 in any 30 days per workspace.
7. The API
- Keep your API keys and webhook secret on your servers. Do not place them in a web page or a mobile app. Rotate a key you believe has been exposed.
- Respect the rate limit and retry with the
Retry-Afterheader. Do not build on undocumented behaviour; the developer documentation and its changelog say what we support. - We change the API additively and give notice in the changelog before retiring anything. We may suspend a key that is harming the service and will tell you why.
8. Liability
- The tests measure what their descriptions say under the conditions a candidate sits them in. We do not guarantee that a result predicts performance in a particular job, and you must not present it as a sole basis for a hiring decision.
- To the extent the law allows, our liability to you under these partner terms in any 12 months is limited to the commission we paid you, or the partner-rate charges you paid us, in that period, whichever is greater. Nothing limits liability for death, personal injury or fraud.
9. The law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales and the courts there have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer rather than a business, these terms do not apply to you.
